We are pleased to announce and launch the 2018 International Association of Professional Birth Photographers Image of the Year Competition. Each year, IAPBP recognizes excellence in birth photography. We hope you will join us in sharing beautiful images of birth with our members, our Judges, friends, family, fans, the media and ultimately, the world.
Members can enter images in to four categories: Labor, Delivery, Postpartum and Birth Details. This year we have an amazing group of Judges that will choose an overall 1st Place Winner: $500; Best in each category: $100 each and Honorable Mention winners. We are also very excited to announce that members will be able to vote for your favorites and we will award Members’ Choice awards. Submissions must have been captured in the 2017 calendar year. To enter, members will need to login to your account on birthphotographers.com. If you cannot remember your password you can reset it directly from the website. Once you go in to your account you will see a tab on the left column under Member Services called “Competition Entry”.
You can enter up to 5 images and there are no category restrictions this year. So if you have 5 great labor images, you can enter 5 labor images. In years past it was one per category only. We know this really restricted a lot of entries and we want to see your best work, no matter what category it falls in to!
We have a longer entry window. In years past it has been as short as 6 days.All entries must be submitted and received by March 13, 2018 at 11:59:59 p.m. CST.
The Judge panel will be announced on Monday, February 26, 2018. We can’t wait to share them with you!
Winners will be announced on or before April 13, 2018 once the votes have been received from the Judges and tallied.
