INTRODUCTION

  • Results of the July 2019 post-video member survey
    • For those of you who took the time to share your feedback in our anonymous survey last month – THANK YOU! 
    • Your top priorities:
      • More interaction in the FB group
      • Cleaning up the directory / website revamp
      • Getting more parents to the site
    • I am excited to share that we are actively working on each one of these items!
  • Next steps 
    • Begin working with brand designer: This process begins September 8th and we should have a new brand to unveil in early October! I may share some sneak peeks of the process in the Facebook Group, so stay tuned!
    • Website redesign comes after the rebranding process. I am in the midst of meeting with potential web developers, web designers, and marketing experts. I hope to make my decision on a web developer within this coming month.
    • Begin ad testing targeting expectant parents 
      • I just spent two days with a social media ad expert who is helping me get ads set up and running to target Parents in cities all around the world. 
      • This is a multi-phased plan and we will be starting by targeting parents in  the cities that have our largest number of members. We are starting here to pull in as accurate data as possible so that our ads will be more effective once we move to multiple cities. However, we have to spend our advertising dollars wisely, so starting small is the best first step.
      • Our long term plan is to run Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads and Google Ads on a cyclical schedule to constantly get our directory with your listings in front of expectant parents.
    • Continue our activity on Instagram and in the Members’ Only Facebook Group: 
      • We are beginning the process of building a social media team. If you are interested in being a part of our team and seeing personal growth on your own social media accounts as a benefit, please fill out our application form right away.
  • Status update: Instagram growth
    • June 6: We started with 11,600 and we are up to 12,300 (so 700 in about 2.5 months) 
    • Our goal is to share your images on Instagram multiple times a day and reach 15k followers before the next Image Competition. 
    • At this time, our public FB page is getting duplicate posts from our Instagram account. We plan to change this in the future with a more specific marketing strategy, but I am being careful with budgeting my time appropriately.
