I was drawn into the world of birth through my own experience of becoming a mother. In the days after giving birth to my son Damien, I struggled to process what I have just went through physically and emotionally.
The birth of my son was a beautiful experience, and at the same time, it was the hardest thing I had ever done. The experience changed me and my life forever.
It deepened me.
This is how I felt after giving birth. Sadly, I have hardly any photos to capture it. Although there are only a few, I am forever grateful for these images and the story they tell – both my son’s entrance into this world and my entrance into motherhood. It was this experience that led me to become a birth photographer.
These stories if STRENGTH, stories of LIFE deserve to be told, and it is my passion to tell them.
“Where do I even start! Masha is wonderful, a very sweet woman and also a great photographer. She attended my home birth. I had a very short labor (3 hours) and she made it to my home with very little notice. She really is “on-call” for you when you need her even if it’s 3am! She also got amazing photos of the birth and of my family. She paid attention to detail and got so many different angles. She didn’t miss a thing! I will cherish these photos forever.” -Jessica
“I loved having Masha as my photographer for the birth of my son. At first I was a little hesitant about having all the intimate moments photographed but she made me feel so comfortable and created a great experience. She is very professional and lovely. She pays attention to what you want and makes the process fun and natural. I highly recommend her.” -Negin
