I have a huge love for pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding and newborn babies. My first birth, the thought of having it photographed didn’t even cross my mind. The second & third, I decided I needed all the help I could get. My sister, mom, husband, doula & photographer were all on deck and I couldn’t have had it any better. I can not tell you how many times I have looked at the photos from my #2 and #3. Every time, I am amazed! ~ but I still wish I had photos from my first.

Whether it is something you’ve always wanted, or a totally new concept to you, documenting your birth will be one of the best decisions you make while having a new child. The pool of emotions and hormones you experience on your child’s birth day often clouds your ability to remember all the details. Having your birth story captured so you can go back and reflect on the emotions of that day will be something you always hold dear. My approach to capturing the journey of pregnancy to baby is a documentary style, savoring those fleeting moments. Birth happens once and it’s so worth being documented.

We’ll meet prior to the birth to discuss your birth preferences and your vision for your images. We’ll also discuss when you should call me and any other details we need to cover prior to baby’s arrival. Birth is unpredictable, which is why I will be on call for you from 38 weeks until your baby is born. I will arrive around the beginning of active labor and stay up until 1 hour after the baby is born.
