My name is Susana Pereira

Photographing and filming Birth is my love letter to the world and an invitation to look at birth as beautiful, miraculous, vulnerable and powerful as it is.

At your birth space, like a ninja, I am the silent figure that moves to capture all the beautiful, raw and emotional details of your story without interfering with the environment established and the team supporting you.

I choose to embrace Birth Photography after 9 years of growth and developing beautiful connections as a pre-school teacher, with children between 3 months and 5 years old.

I started my professional carrer in photography as a dance photographer and it was while I was preparing a presentation of a dance project that I had a vision of a baby being born and it came quite clear to me that I wanted to document birth.

In that year I decided to study to be a doula,  I also explored the nature of being human with different spiritual teachers.

When I photographed my first birth! What a bliss!
