At a Birth consultation, I was asked by the husband, “ Why did you choose Photography, and why birth?”
I have never been asked that, and it kinda took me back a bit, because I did not realize how personally attached and what motivated me, until he asked me.
I have had a camera in my hands for the last 20 years.
I have been using DSLR cameras for 13 of those years, and I have always been drawn to candid, and mostly nature, it has taught me to work with what I am given, and in most if not all situations with my clients that seems to be the case. It has taught me to be patient and to learn more about what my camera settings have to offer as well.
3 years ago I started getting into the human subject side of photography.
That in itself was a whole new avenue, yet I conquered that, and feel in love as I had various sessions like Engagements, Babies, Anniversaries, Couples, Families, you name it, I did it.
It was not till May 22 2017, when I had my miscarriage is when I found my passion.
I knew I wanted to be a photographer, but I also knew I wanted to be a photographer who solely wanted to focus on birth and all things related.
I have SUCH a passion for this type of photography.
It is a beautiful time in a woman’s life to bare a child, and they are blessed if they bare multiple.
I have such a high value on family, that I want to give the families that higher me, the BEST of the best!
Since I do not know if I will ever be able to bare kids in the future, I live vicariously through each session and the times I spend with the mom’s and their babies. I think it is such an honor that women are able to bare kids, be it a maternity session, birth session, or new born session, I want to make sure my images capture that passion I have through my camera!
I am 1000% in to capturing the perfect moments for you. I am Located in Concord N.C but I also travel out of state and to Canada, I love me a road trip!!
