Meredith McCann is a birth and motherhood photographer based just south of Austin, TX. She is a mother of two little girls, a fire wife, a Christian, a certified birth doula and a maternal health advocate for the Preeclampsia Foundation and MoMMA’s Voices. She is a two-time survivor of severe Preeclampsia and HELLP Syndrome and has used her experiences surviving birth trauma to help other mothers document their journeys. Meredith photographs emotional, storytelling portrait sessions, as well as births in the home, birthing center and hospital settings. She has documented 10+ births since launching her business in 2020 and has also been invited to document sensitive and emotional milestones such as bereavement, adoption, loss and infertility. She was nominated for an Austin Birth Award in 2021 by Partners in Parenting and has been published in several magazines.
